How to EnGage Asynchronously

One of the most powerful aspects of Wild Growth Lab is having direct access to coaching support in the moments that matter most, not days later when the decision's already been made or the spiral has passed.

Here's how to make the most of your asynchronous access and what you can expect from me.

*Asynchronous communication refers to communication that is done between two parties who aren’t working/online at the same time. I refer to it as ‘Async’ below

When to Reach Out

Async communication with me is available Monday through Thursday for the real-time challenges that show up in your business and leadership. These are the moments when having a trusted advisor in your pocket changes everything:

You Need to Make A Quick Decision

  • It's Tuesday morning and you have a pricing conversation coming up this week, but you're second-guessing whether to hold firm on your rate

  • A potential client wants to "start small" and you're unsure if this is strategic or setting yourself up for scope creep

  • You need to respond to a proposal and you're stuck between two directions

  • You're drafting an email to set a boundary with a difficult client and need a gut-check before you hit send

You're Recognizing a Pattern (Again)

  • You just spent two hours on a task you could have delegated and you're frustrated with yourself

  • You've been micromanaging your assistant instead of actually delegating and you need help letting go

  • You're avoiding launching something because you're "waiting to feel ready" and watching competitors move faster

  • You scheduled back-to-back calls with no breaks again and need help figuring out why you keep doing this

You Need Strategy Validation

  • You woke up with an idea that could shift your entire business model and you need to talk it through before you either dismiss it or impulsively announce it

  • You're questioning whether to fire a client who disrespects your boundaries but worried about the revenue gap

  • You're stuck in analysis paralysis on a pivot and need help identifying what decision actually needs to be made right now

What to Expect From Me

Response Timing

Within business hours (Monday-Thursday, 9am CST - 4pm CST), most messages get a response within 2-4 hours, often sooner.

What You'll Get

Perspective: I'll help you see what's really driving the situation, not just the surface-level problem. "Here's what I'm hearing underneath the question you're asking..."

Clear next steps: Not just validation, but direction. "Before you respond to that client, try this..." or "Here are the two questions you need to answer before this decision becomes clear."

Pattern recognition: "This is the third time this month you've mentioned struggling to hold boundaries with this type of client—let's look at what's underneath that." I'll connect dots you might not see in the moment.

Permission and calibration: Sometimes you just need someone to say "Yes, that's a reasonable boundary" or "You're being harder on yourself than this situation warrants."

Accountability with compassion: If you're spiraling, I'll name it. If you're avoiding something, I'll point to it gently but clearly. If you're repeating a pattern, I'll remind you what you already know.

Response Length

Some responses are 60-90 seconds when you need a fast, clear answer. Others might be 3-5 minutes when the situation calls for more nuanced perspective or when we're unpacking a pattern together.

What async Communication Is Not

Not 24/7 crisis management: Voxer support is available Monday-Thursday during business hours. Friday through Sunday, we both honor boundaries and rest. (Modeling what we're building together.)

Not therapy: I'm here for business and leadership challenges. If something needs deeper emotional processing or mental health support, I'll name it clearly and encourage you to bring it to your therapist.

Not me doing the thinking for you: I won't tell you exactly what to do. I'll help you access your own clarity, challenge your assumptions, and make the decision that's right for your business and values.

Not a replacement for deep-dive strategy sessions: Some challenges need more than asynchronous voice memos. If what you're bringing to Voxer requires:

  • Significant background context I don't yet have - like a complex team dynamic with multiple players, a business model you're completely restructuring, or a situation with many moving parts

  • Real-time dialogue - where we need to go back and forth quickly, ask clarifying questions, and build on each other's thoughts in the moment

  • Extended exploration - when you're working through something that needs 30-45 minutes of focused attention, not 3-5 minute voice memos spread across hours

  • Visual collaboration - like reviewing a spreadsheet together, looking at your calendar structure, mapping out a process, or whiteboarding a strategy

  • Complex problem-solving - situations where we need to examine multiple angles, pressure-test assumptions, role-play a difficult conversation, or work through scenarios together

...I'll let you know it's time to schedule office hours.

This isn't about gatekeeping support—it's about ensuring you get the right kind of support. Some things genuinely need synchronous, focused time where we can dig in together without the constraints of asynchronous communication.

When I suggest we schedule office hours, it means I want to give the challenge the attention it deserves rather than trying to solve something complex in a medium that's designed for real-time guidance, not deep strategic work.

Think of it this way:

  • Voxer is for "I need perspective on this decision I'm facing today"

  • Office hours are for "I need to completely rethink how I'm approaching this part of my business"

Both are valuable. Both are part of your support. I'll help you know which tool to reach for when.

How it works practically

  1. Download Voxer (free app for iOS and Android)

  2. Send a voice memo when you're facing one of those moments—whether you're at your desk, in your car between meetings, or on a walk processing something

  3. I'll respond with a voice memo that gives you perspective, direction, or the question you need to answer

  4. You move forward with clarity instead of staying stuck

The exchange feels like having a trusted advisor in your pocket who knows your business intimately, will tell you the truth, and can help you move from "I'm stuck" to "I know what to do next"—often in a single exchange.

This is support in the moments that matter. Not days later in a scheduled call when the urgency has passed or you've already made the decision you're unsure about.
